Operational Excellence Consultant
£60,000 - £70,000 per annum
EDF Energy are seeking an experienced Operational Excellence Consultant to lead within our Hove site. This key role will be a Senior Manager within the Customer Ops team, inspiring a team of Senior Practitioners to drive our Effective Operations Management programme across our call centres. It's a very high profile role that will offer significant career progression opportunities. Acting as key senior stakeholder, this role will take overall responsibility for a crucial continuous improvement programme being implemented across the business. While this role is focused and based on the Hove site, the post holder will be working in a team that operates across the country. The assignments undertaken are large by nature and will span several business functions. There will be a wide range of stakeholders to work with including business analysis, commercial teams, Smart programme managers, finance, CIO and more. While the role will partner with and challenge directors and senior managers, the post holder will also work with call centre staff to ensure that the programme is being delivered effectively and on budget. We are seeking a strategic individual with a consultative approach. They will have some experience implementing similar programmes in a call centre environment, and will possess the experience and skills to influence and challenge senior stakeholders. They will also have demonstrable experience of designing and implementing creative solutions to difficult problems, along with the ability to manage and lead a high performing team. It is also important that they have proven investigative and analytical skills using a variety of Lean, Operational Excellence or Six Sigma techniques. Any experience in driving Effective Operations Management programmes will also be beneficial. Team Leader - Security

EDF Energy are currently recruiting for a permanent Security Team Leader to be based at Hinkley Point B power station in Somerset. You will take be responsible for ensuring the effective performance management of the security team in the day to day running of the department by coordinating security guard activities in compliance with regulatory requirements. You will also instigate the use of and seek advice surrounding company HR processes and procedures as and when appropriate as well as manage and develop the team with enthusiasm and consistency in line with the EDF leadership charter. You will have security experience and an appreciation of site security requirements, with a working knowledge of the practices employed on site in relation to Nuclear regulations. The candidate will be required to demonstrate an effective and positive customer focused approach, with excellent people management and organisational skills. Head of Planning and Reporting

EDF Energy is seeking an experienced and driven senior finance professional to work in our central finance team. The job is a key member of the Senior Leadership team, and will offer significant career progression opportunities within the corporate function of one of the largest energy companies in the UK. The Head of Planning and Reporting is responsible for ensuring that the service provided by their teams meets the needs of EDF Energy. Offering a balance of international corporate reporting and financial planning at a senior level, the successful candidate will develop and maintain strong relationships with the corporate executive, senior management, shareholders, investors and other influential external stakeholders. This is a very high profile role and the relationships they develop with local business units, and Group in France, will have a significant impact on EDF Energy's financial reporting capability. The reporting aspect of the role will support the Executive by designing and producing EDF Energy's main financial dashboards and performance reports, ensuring that all reporting conforms to IAS and EDF Group accounting policies. They will track the progress and reporting of the Company's financial performance, develop action plans to ensure delivery against targets, and advise and challenge board members and Senior Management across the company. There is an experienced and highly motivated team already in place to help drive the reporting process, although the role has plenty of room for the new incumbent to make their own mark on the role. The financial planning aspect will take overall responsibility for all areas of the consolidated financial planning process. The post holder will manage the financial planning process for the corporate and steering functions, as well as ensuring the process and outputs are well defined to ensure an effective and high performing financial planning function is in place. The split between planning and reporting varies throughout the year, but each aspect is as important as the other. The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CGMA) with a background of managing finance in a large corporate business. They will be comfortable partnering with and challenging senior influential stakeholders, and will have operated at a senior level within a fast paced and complex business. It's important that they have a balanced skill set of technical corporate reporting and high end commercial finance, along with demonstrable experience of developing inspired and skilled teams.
